Professor Fraedrich went into education so he could make a difference.  Through his many years teaching and researching, he’s just done that.  Fraedrich has published articles as Journal of Macromarketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management, International Journal of Value Based Management, and Journal of International Consumer Marketing, to name a few.

Fraedrich studies business ethics, ethical decision making, values, corporate culture, white collar crime and behavioral genetics. He was the Bill Daniels Distinguished Professor of Business Ethics at University of Wyoming and is now the James J. Jannetides Professor of Business Ethics at the College of Business. He has written more than 50 books, articles and proceedings, mostly related to ethics and values.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Fraedrich is seasoned world traveler.  He has lectured in various parts of Asia and Eastern Europe and he has consulted with executives in every Central American and Caribbean country as well as representing academia at the international level to foreign ambassadors in Washington D.C. on corporate social responsibility and with Brazil’s Supreme Court Justices. It’s no surprise that when Fraedrich was asked what he enjoys most about SIU, he said, “its international orientation.”

Fraedrich received a bachelor’s degree in management from Brigham Young University and master’s and doctorate degrees in marketing from Texas A&M University. His emphasis within his doctoral program was ethical decision making.
