Professor Davidson's classes are always popular and his evaluations always glowing.  He was one of only nine honored as outstanding teachers for the 2007 Southern Illinois University's "Excellence Through Commitment" awards. 

During the College of Business 2007 Honors Day, Davidson was awarded the Outstanding Research Honor Roll Award and Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher Honor Roll Award.  In all, he has won more than a dozen teaching awards from the College.

Davidson teaches corporate finance, working capital management, capital budgeting, financial statement analysis, financial theory, and security valuation.

Davidson has produced many continuing education seminars and online classes for the Professional Development Institute and American Institute of CPAs.

Davidson earned bachelor's and master's degrees in 1974 and 1976 from Wright State University in Ohio and a doctorate in 1982 from The Ohio State University.
